Boredo is different. Boredo is an app exchange ecosystem where great companies with great apps promote each other’s products to their base of loyal users.

Boredo started with a single app developer who wanted to grow their business. The Kedlin Company, led by founder Ben Sharpe, had a fairly successful mobile application, Call Control that they wanted to take to the next level. Call Control had reached the 2,000,000 user mark within 2 years by building a great product that people loved and relying on word of mouth marketing, but the growth rate had plateaued. Kedlin was a bootstrapped startup with no marketing budget, any revenue was put back into improving their product, leaving little left over for marketing and PR.

Kedlin received hundreds of emails from users each month asking them if they had other apps available for download, which apps they recommended or used personally and even suggestions for new apps to build. Kedlin had loyal users who wanted more.

Boredo was born. Sharpe approached other developers who’s apps he used personally and offered a simple trade, promote one another’s products to their users and grow each other’s business while providing their customers with other great apps.

No paid marketing, no pay per download, just a simple app exchange. And it worked.
